New Uses for Lemons | Real Simple

I love the look and scent of lemons.  Sometimes I keep them (or limes, oranges) on my counter, and it actually makes the room a little more cheery.  Today will be all about LEMONS and YELLOW.

Real Simple gives some useful ways to use lemons. Such as, a laundry brightener, sore throat soother, and a cutting board cleaner.  Check out the video  Ways to use lemons

Dill yo

I am a fan. My husband is not.  I saw a little article on Real Simple  about dill and it made me think about how much I love it.

 Here is what I learned.

Wrap the herb in a slightly damp paper towel and store it inside a sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; the delicate fronds wilt quickly after being picked.  Just before using, wash the dill and blot it dry with a paper towel. The herb loses its flavor when heated, so either add it at the very end of cooking or use it as a garnish.
